Meridian Therapy – Acupoints

The meridian system may be thought of as a radio network in which the acupuncture points are transmitters and the vital organs, receivers. The meridians are the invisible, intangible lines along which messages are sent from the acupuncture points to various parts of the body. The message is sent by the insertion of needles, electrical stimulation, or helium neon laser into the acupuncture points to increase or decrease activity. The Chinese discovered and observed that in some points, the way in which the needle was inserted determined whether it’s effect would be sedation or stimulation.
